Gurobi Optimization has greatly simplified its free academic license program. Now, a free academic license only needs to be validated once. Validation is done by running a simple program while your computer is connected to the Internet from an academic domain. The self-service process is easy and takes just a few minutes.
A free academic license remains valid for six months, and faculty, students and staff can renew or upgrade academic licenses as long as they remain eligible. And there is still no limit on the number of free academic licenses that one may obtain.
Gurobi also continues to offer unlimited site licenses at a deep discount for academic customers. Please consult the Gurobi price list for details on the full range of academic and commercial licenses we offer; the price list can be accessed through your account on the Gurobi website.
