Perrucci brings decades of experience in sales, marketing, and analytics.

BEAVERTON, Ore. – November 2, 2021 – Gurobi Optimization, LLC, creator of the world’s fastest mathematical optimization solver, today announced the appointment of Duke Perrucci as Chief Operating Officer.

Perrucci, who has served as Gurobi’s Chief Revenue Officer since early 2018, has helped lead the company on an upward trajectory, with steady and profitable growth between 20%-40% year over year. The company has also greatly expanded its workforce in that time and plans to continue that growth in 2022.

As Chief Operating Officer, Perrucci will continue to work closely with the senior management team, but he will now oversee strategy execution across the organization.

“Gurobi has grown rapidly over the past few years—which makes running the company a lot more complex. Given Duke’s success in building and leading our sales and marketing efforts since he joined nearly four years ago, he’s the perfect person to take on the challenge of taming this complexity. The company will benefit greatly from him having a broader role,” said Dr. Edward Rothberg, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of Gurobi Optimization.

Perrucci has 25 years of experience in roles spanning sales, marketing, and analytics. Before joining Gurobi, he served as Chief Revenue Officer at Cambridge Analytica, a predictive analytics firm that helps companies drive better advertising through AI.

Prior to Cambridge Analytica, Perrucci served at FocusVision and Unilever. He also spent nine years with Information Resources, Inc., where he worked across the entire PepsiCo enterprise.

“We’re committed to helping organizations solve their most complex challenges, through the power of mathematical optimization,” said Rothberg. “Duke is the right person to help me lead this team as we drive our vision forward.”

“I’m thankful for this opportunity to serve alongside Ed, as we lead the company together,” explained Perrucci. “We’re both committed to pushing the limits of what’s possible with mathematical optimization technology and creating a great place to work.”

Perrucci added, “And with such a devoted team behind us, the sky is the limit for our small-but-growing company.”
